Waterfall City Athletics Club – CSI Initiatives

As Waterfall City Athletics Club we believe that giving back to communities around us is very important and that is why we have invested great efforts in the development of young athletes where we coach and provide support to these young athletes. Our development programme is not only aimed at coaching young people in the sport of running but offering support even on a personal, academic and financial level. We are delighted to have the Asics as our partner for this initiative as they contribute by selling the running merchandise to our development athletes at discounted prices. Through generous donations from our partner Attacq we are also able to assist the development team with other needs such as transport to running events, entries to races etc.

Botshabelo Children’s Home

The first of December 2019, World Aids Day, we hosted our annual 5km and 8km Charity Run starting and finishing at the Mall of Africa! For our 2019 run, we welcomed more than 500 runners, sponsors, and JMPD in full force. It was a morning of fun and fitness, with a beautiful route cordoned off for us, great weather, as well as prizes and give aways. On top of that, it had a much deeper impact! Through entry fees and sponsor donations, we earned over R50 000 for Botshabelo – a children’s charity located in Midrand. This 20-year-old.

NPO uplifts the lives of women and children through their programmes: Babies Home, Preschool, Teacher Training Program. Our support helped Botshabelo as they impacted over 3 000 women, preschoolers, and babies. Let’s celebrate MAKING A DIFFERENCE!

We love how they take our investment and turn it into effective and meaningful change. We are excited to partner in 2020. Take a peek to see more and see how you might connect to them more deeply:
